Give me a M - Give me an A - Give me a C - Give me an I - What's that spell? MACI !!

Best BUN and Creatine levels so far were this morning!
BUN - 11
Creatinine - 2.03

Hematocrit - 31 (up which is good)
Sodium - steady at 135
Potasium - 4.4 (normal)

Maci had a bit of a rough day yesterday with a belly ache.  She cried or fussed for 2 1/2 hours before she finally got some relief.  She ate at 5 and then passed out, stone cold, asleep.  She did well throughout the night and was in a happy mood this morning.  She is currently in her sister's arms looking at her.  :)  Rebecca has taken about 30 pictures of her today in a short span of time.  It pleases me that she loves her.  Tristan looks at her and will talk to her but he doesn't want to hold her.  He's not big on babies much....yanno being a young man and nearly 16, older girls who are unrelated are more his speed.    LOL

The Nephrology Fellow (doc who is done with school but has decided to train to be a Nephrologist and must do an additional 3 years of training) said that Dr. Ault (the Nephrologist on call this week) will probably increase the fluid volume to 80 in the next day or so.

The surgery fellow stopped by this morning before we got here but our kind nurse Katie talked to him for us.  She knew we had some questions and concerns about Maci's reflux.  We knew from her tests that it would help show whether the surgeons needed to do a procedure called a Nissen which prevents reflux.  They typically would do this at the same time she gets her G-tube.  There have been children who did not get the Nissen and later had to come back for surgery.  We want to prevent that with Maci and limit her surgeries.  If there is a remote possibility she would need the Nissen, Rick and I felt like they should go ahead with it at the time of her G-tube surgery.  Katie said that the Fellow said they were leaning that way.  :)

These nurses here are REALLY great.  There are some that haven't even been Maci's nurse but ask about her and come visit her.  A lot of times it is to see what she's wearing.  Hey, no one said just because you are in the hospital you can't dress cute!
Maci is already prepared for tomorrow's game.  We are attempting to teach her to say ROLL TIDE but so far her mouth just opens and moves and no sound comes out.
I will post pics of what Moo wears tomorrow during the day (thanks to Amy Suiter and her little girls who are all Bama fans) and here is what Maci will wear at game time (thanks to her Papaw and Mammom).  She even has an Alabama passy holder!!!

Flag hanging next to the head of Maci's bed that her Papaw sent to the hospital.

We are hoping her doc tomorrow night is an Alabama fan cause we're tryin to see if they will let us roll her bed and monitor to the family room where the TV is so she can watch the game. (**kidding**)
