The Beginnings of the Infant Hissy Fit

Maci is currently in Rick's arms sleeping....so far for the longest amount of time today OR last night.  She has been a little fussy wussy today.  She has been SO sleepy and would doze off and then wake herself up and then would fuss and cry.  One good thing, the fussiness isn't formula related and considering all of the mini fits she has thrown throughout the day, the new formula is doing really well.  Nutramigen seems to be a-ok so far.  This isn't a "kidney friendly" formula so they will have to watch her labs and make any changes accordingly but at least my child can eat again without it being so painful!

Maci's hissy fit throwin has been somewhat comical today.  You hold her, you know she feels fine because she's quiet or playing but when put her in the bed or the swing and oh my lawd, here it goes.  A good ole southern, full blown, H-I-S-S-Y-F-I-T comes along.  You pick her back up and it's like a light switch turned off and she's peaceful again.  The little stinker!

One of the dialysis nurses calmed her down today by singing to her.  She even made up her own words to songs and Maci just laid there and listened.  It was PRECIOUS!
She likes to be sang to and she likes music.  Her radio station did get changed one night from WRVR because her nurse said that Delilah was inappropriate content for Maci.  ROFL

Dr. Ault (Nephrology) said we can start "experimenting" with the cycler soon.  She is going to check with the dialysis nurses and get things in the works.  She wants to be sure there aren't any issues before we start our full blown training.

Another hissy has ensued so I am going to give Rick a break and see if I can get Moo to calm down.  Here is a pic from the other day.  She likes to sit up now and she was tired and about to fall asleep.  :)
