The Wheels Are In Motion

Apparently I forgot to post this 12/22/12. Ooooppppps.

We had dialysis clinic on Tuesday, December 18th and it went well.  Dr. Hastings is going to write the letter on Maci for the transplant team by the end of this month.  The transplant team will not be doing anything for the remainder of the year on future transplant candidates so if she would have typed and sent the letter that day or waits until 12/31 it's not going to make a difference.  She said once they receive the letter it will be about a week before I hear from the transplant nurse.
We go back to clinic on January 8th and she said if I haven't heard anything by then (I am expecting we do not since Jan 1 is a holiday) that she will give them a call and see if we need to attend a clinic day of theirs (which is on a Monday).
All else was good....labs, weight, etc all good.  :)

After clinic we went up to the NICU and saw a few folks.  We got to see two of the Nurse Practitioners that we haven't seen since leaving in April.  It was great to see them along with nurses Ashley and Rae Rae, Pharmacist, Jasmine and our awesome Dr. "Party Rock" Ferguson.  I LOVE THOSE FOLKS in the NICU!  Some of them will be working on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and will be away from their families.....taking care of other families.  God bless them and I sure hope they have a very Merry Christmas.

I am STILL fighting with Medicare on Maci's private duty nursing services.  I would say that I was ready to scream but I've already done that!
