So this isn't Maci or transplant related but I happily announce that I have a new niece and Maci has a new cousin, born yesterday afternoon. I can't wait to spoil her a little myself and to watch how her Mom and Dad become more tightly wrapped around both her and her brother's little fingers! Here are two pics that my brother in law's sister took yesterday. Awesome aren't they?? (Both the pics and the people in them).

When I was getting ready to leave the hospital yesterday, I walked up to this scene. Z was holding Maci's hand and said to me, "I put hand sanitizer on my hands before I touched her." He is 5 1/2 years old and he gets it. Even at his age, he understands and has been taught to be "careful" with Maci. He is going to be an awesome big brother.
