Smiles

Maci started smiling on Saturday.  She's been smiling randomly but is now beginning to smile more as a reaction.  She did it twice on Saturday, twice yesterday and once today.  It's so cute!

I am pretty smiley myself.  I didn't have to go back to work today.  With Maci's surgery on Wednesday, I have this week off.  I am thankful for a very understanding work place of great people. 

We had lunch yesterday for Tristan's birthday.  He will be 16 on the 22nd.  16!!!!  Time does fly.  I was holding my niece Lucy and grabbed my phone for something and Lucy saw Maci who is my screen saver/wallpaper.  She said "Baby Maci!!" then made a kissing sound.  It made me cry it was so sweet.  It also shows that she is learning love and compassion and showing it (good job Sean & Erica).

My heart is all smiles at the moment as I listen to Rick play with and talk to Maci.  Maci has one of her BFF Nurses with her tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday nights so this should be a good week.  Now don't get me wrong, we are fond of all of Maci's nurses.  This nurse just happened to be her very first nurse here at LeBonheur.  I guess personalities clicked and she has turned out to be one we wish we could take home with us when we leave here.

Surgery is still planned for Wednesday.  Approximate time is 11:30.
