God bless you Steve Mulroy!
I would also just like to add that the surgeon mentioned in this article, Dr. Eason who performed this kidney removal, is also the transplant doctor that we met with for Maci. Dr. Eason also performed the liver transplant for Steve Jobs (as in the former co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple) .
HOPEFULLY he will be the one that transplants Maci. If so, we can say that Maci's transplant surgeon is famous. IJS!

Rick will spend two days next week at Methodist doing his donor, medical work up. Please continue to keep us in prayer, specifically for no unexpected medical surprises. We are surely not expecting anything to prevent him donating a kidney to Maci but prayers don't hurt, right?
Maci has been running a low grade temp this week and so she saw the Pediatrician yesterday. They did some blood work that didn't give any indication of infection. I guess she's just pulling one of her medical anomaly stunts again. When they pricked her finger, she didn't flinch, cry or even wimper. My little, big girl is such the trooper and continues to make me proud, every. single. day. Other than the fever of unknown reason, all is going well with the little Moo.
We go to monthly dialysis clinic next Tuesday and will see what her length is compared to last month. When we went for her GI check up it was the same as it has been, 74.5 cm. The magic range for length is 75-80 cms. Her weight this morning was 11.11 kgs (24.4 lbs) and the next "goal" weight is 15 kgs / 33 lbs. Not getting discouraged because she WILL get there.

Maci at PT sitting like a boss.
Maci sometimes leaves messages on the magnet board for her Physical Therapist.
Getting unhooked from her dialysis machine.
First time at the drive in movie theatre. She was SO good.
Helping with holding her cup!

HEY! Can you slow it down on the turns?
That's not red lipstick. That's her first time to have a Jerry's Sno Cone. She loved it.
I helped a friend do some campaigning this week.
When I got home, this is what I found in my bed.
Maci's tear free, fuss free finger stick.
