WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW

WOW.  We go so long without anything monumental to report so in the meantime, I try not to bombard the blog with insignificant posts.  Quality not quantity, right?  :)

Maci is well on her way to meeting her goal of being the MAX length suggested/requested by the transplant doctors.  They said 75-80 cms and on Tuesday, 8/20 in Dialysis Clinic she was 19.4 cms.  7 weeks prior she was at 19.2 cms.  #growmacigrow  She is still maintaining her weight at 25 lbs or just under (which is good).
The plan remains that Maci will be reviewed again by the transplant team at the beginning of October.

Yesterday in Physical Therapy, Maci was on her stomach and rolled from her stomach to her side and then from her side to her back.  Her Therapist said this is a LEARNED action.  Her repetitiveness and work is paying off!  I am thrilled.  I cried.  I was so excited that my baby is learning!  To borrow a phrase from Dance Moms, Maci will be "a force to be reckoned with" someday.  I am really excited about her future.
I find it appropriate to share a quote that I came across last week because it is so very true.

If you happen to be looking for a way to pay it forward or a charity to participate in, here are two wonderful charities.  Both are non profit organizations that make hospital gowns for children with chronic illnesses who are having surgery or expected to have multiple surgeries.  If you would like to donate even a small amount, these are great organizations.  They will take monetary donations and I even sent a gift card from JoAnn's for fabric or sewing needs.  I cannot say enough good things about these organizations.  Gracie's Gowns also accepts aluminum can tabs!  Both are on Facebook so go read more about them and LIKE their pages.

I patiently await the day to come for Maci to wear these when she is hospitalized to GET HER DADDY'S KIDNEY!  #donatelife

Again, I thank EVERYONE who adds or continues to keep Maci and my family in your prayers.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Since today is Thursday, here's a #tbt from Maci at 10 months old.
